Last weekend 5 chicks hatched so of course it has started raining again! Chicks in the kitchen all week again. :)
I don't think we will sell any of these as we are down to just 6 hens and Frankie. At any rate we will wait and see what they grow into. None of the other hens are looking clucky and we are getting random eggs, some days 4 and other days just 1. Despite the differences in the hen colours (only subtle, they are all buff) all our chicks seem to grow into the same mid buff colour. These eggs came from Gilbert The Eaten. I'm hoping for one last clutch of chicks from Frankie since he is darker - just to see if the chicks are darker. I'm making lemon tart - takes a dozen bantam eggs! mmmmm
